God gave me the nicest cover fairy. What’s a cover fairy? Well, it’s a fairy. And she’s in charge of giving authors their luck on covers. Good or bad. Depends on the fairy. But my fairy is nice.
See how nice? This cover was by SL Carpenter, one of the first covers I got from Ellora’s Cave and I still think it’s one of their best.
I’ve been really lucky with covers, all in all. Yeah, I think I’ve had a few that aren’t so hot, but the good ones out number those by far. Here’s another pretty one that Syneca did for my anthology with Lora Leigh & Mary Wine.
Pretty…romantic…another one of my faves.
The cover for my first standalone title at Berkley totally blew my mind. I loved the colors. I loved the fact that there was some half nekkied coupleor a beefcake that looked like the same guy on five other covers. Nope. The cover for Hunting the Hunter looked pretty unique.
Don’t I have a great cover fairy?
I need to figure out what cover fairies like for treats or reward. There’s got to be some way of saying thank you, right?
Especially after the cover I got last night. It’s going to be another one of my faves. It’s from Anne Cain, one of the cover artists at Samhain Publishing. Always Yours, my May release. This book has been previously released in ebook form and I cleaned it up a little, did some minor revisions for Samhain and at some point, it should be out in print from them. Maybe even this year…I dunno.
Wanna see the cover?
Isn’t this one of the prettiest covers ever?
