I just finished my book.
The competition thing is apparently what I need to inspire me to write like a maniac. Today, when I first sat down to write, One of the Guys had a word count of oh… around 22 or 23k. Now usually, the end wraps up pretty quickly for me and I could see light at the end of the tunnel.
This wasn’t light, though. This was a supernova and I finished up with a grand total of 34,133 words. That’s more than 9k over where I was aiming…AND considering I was at a whopping 12K last week for the Seventy Days of Sweat Check In, I’m not just satisfied, I’m pretty damn pleased with myself.
I wrote like a tyrant this week… AND I still had a little time to play even. But now, it’s late, I’m tired so I’m going to finish off a glass of plum wine (yummy!) and get to bed. Because tomorrow, I need to finish up a proposal for The Missing and maybe even finish up the historical novella I’m working on. Then there’s the adjustments I want to make to Through the Veil….oye. Get one thing off my plate and fifty more replace it.
;o) i love my job.
