You know, when I originally signed up for Seventy Days of Sweat, I had some serious personal misgivings.

I was working on three things at once, two of which were under deadline and the last thing I needed ( I thought ) was the pressure of trying to keep up with something else.

Oddly enough, though-this was exactly what I needed.  It made me focus.

By 7/18, I had…

The Missing at 20K from 12 something, Ithink.

One of the guys up to 16K, from 12 something, I think.

The other one is one hold, because I need to get enough done on The Missing to send the proposal in. After I do that, I’ll be back on all three.

Now…bad me… I think originally on 7/9, The Missing was at like…9k, maybe.  One of the Guys at 4K, give or take.  The historical, still untitled was at about 18K, close to done, so I put it on hold to get guys and the proposal for Missing turned in.

Now, less than a month later, the proposal for The Missing is at the editor’s, I’m at 41K on the book itself, and One of the Guys is DONE.  Going to get back to the historical next week, and I’ll probably throw in the WIP for Samhain that will be out in January.

So the stress of it was good.  Sometimes I’m writing 4-5k a day.  Sometimes, yes, nothing.  I still keep weekends mostly for family so during the week, I haul tail.

But it’s going good.

And one thing that has worked wonders… I no longer keep the TV on while I try to write.
