In no particular order
- I get to see several of my fave authors online at various places, like PBW aka SL Viehl at her blog or Nora Roberts who shows up on Dear Author & Karen Scott’s blog a lot. And *G* I haven’t squeed once. Okay, okay, I did when SL Viehl actually emailed me. And when she mentioned a book of mine…and… okay, okay, I’ll quit.
- The drama. If you know where to look, there’s almost always drama in blogland. Yes, it can get tiresome seeing the same old dramas happen among the same old people, but it’s good for entertainment for a while.
- The dismayed humor factor. You know, the Oh man, I can’t believe she just said that.
- The ironic humor factor. The Oh, like she’s one to talk.
- The humor humor factor. You know, like stuff that is really funny.
- The book buzz. I need my book fix.
- Dear Author Bam & Karen Scott. The reasons for these three usually have to do with the humor factors, dismayed, ironic or just plain funny humor but it’s usually the comments that leave me wide-eyed and/or shaking my head. Not that Karen and Bam don’t ever do anything outrageous *G* but man, some of the comments that show up in these three blogs… whoa….
- Bam’s monthly writing contests. I love these contests. I usually don’t mess with writing exercises…other than my blog (yes…. this is an exercise for me. :O>) but Bam’s contests are fun.
- And last but certainly not least…. catfights. Yes, I’ll admit it. When I see a blogland drama stirring up and getting hot and heavy, I’ll check that blog every few hours just to see what kind of insanity has stirred up with the latest flame fest/smear campaign/popularity contest/fill in the blank. I get some kind of juvenile amusement out of it. But hey, I admit I have a problem, right… that’s the first step ;o)
