This wasn’t a fun weekend. The baby bratlet is teething–either that, or she has an ear infection because she was cranky. So if tonight isn’t any better, tomorrow I will be at the doctor’s office. Joy.
The DH got called in for overtime so I was flying solo half of today. I stayed up late both nights and got up early and all in all, I think I’m glad the weekend finally ended.
I finished up a pain the tail set of edits. Edits are never the one of the fun aspects of writing, at least not for me. But every once in a while, there’s an edit that’s even less fun than going to the dentist office.
I finished up edits on another book that while not a pain, it was very tedious because I decided to go in and add a little more of this to the that. I don’t know why none of the this or that dawned on me while I was writing it. :O|
Also did some spazzing because the words marketing plan arrived in my email. And how I wished it was just spam. I hate dealing with any sort of marketing. Hate it. Promo is a pain in the tail for me. I do what I have to and not much more. Of course, some would say I really have to do more, but I’ve done okay so far and I’m satisfied with that. Turned out I didn’t need to spazz, just needed to jot down a few things and viola, done. But still, two of my least fave things thrown at me in one weekend. Not fun, not fun at all.
Edits are necessary. Yep. I know they are. But I do hate them. Usually they are just tedious, sometimes a little more than that. Promo and marketing is necessary. Yep, know that, too. But I hate to mess with them.
Hopefully the writing fairies will be kind and not throw so much negative at once sometime.
