Barbara Vey who runs the blog at Publisher’s Weekly, Beyond her Book, sent me a link a few days ago… one of the ladies in her book club recommended Fragile.
Joysann says
Once an abused and broken little girl, Devon Manning prides herself on her hard-earned strength and self-sufficiency, but the scars remain, leaving her socially vulnerable and withdrawn. Dr Luke Rafferty has seen the cruelties people inflict on one another, both in the ER and in former military action, so when he sees Devon, he sees a woman he wants to rescue and protect. When a stalker threatens Devon’s life, Luke discovers that vulnerable doesn’t have to mean weak, and that the emotions of even the strong and powerful can be fragile.
Fragile is intense and intriguing. Secrets and surprising twists kept me turning pages, and feeling anxious and sympathetic all at the same time. I’ve enjoyed some of Shiloh Walker’s paranormal books, and now I know her contemporary romantic suspense are good reads too.
🙂 Thanks, Joysann!
