I need a break.

It’s official.

I’m not taking a total break, but I’m going to cut back on how much I’m on twitter and how much I’m hitting blogs right now.  It’s too easy to get  caught up in the politics of writing, too easy to get caught up in the mess that the publishing industry is in…and it takes so much of my brain, there’s too little left for writing.

So I’m taking a break from it.  I’m still going to be discussing some of my problems with certain aspects the ‘publishing mess’, from my point of view, but I’m going to try not to let myself get involved elsewhere.  It’s too frustrating and it’s not particularly efficient, either, since, in the long run, my job is to write.

That’s my job.

That’s what I need to focus on.
