Just a reminder guys…
As specified in the contest, these ARCS are basically promotional tools for me, so I was definitely more inclined to give them to those who would (or did) do things that would help spread the word.
Hope y’all understand…but look at it this way-the more people who see/hear about the book, the better it is for all of us, because the more people who see/hear about it, the more likely it is people will decide to check it out…which means…the more likely my publisher will be at listening when I decide to talk to them about more books…so, that’s good for all of us, right?
As I mentioned, I do have one book I’ve set aside for a reader only contest that you just throw your name in the hat for, and that will be later down the road.
Now, to those I’ve selected, first up… I do ask that you keep the ARC in your possession until the book is released. After the book is out, you’re welcome to give the book away, or sell it. But if you’re not willing to keep the book in please let me know in email and I’ll draw another name. If by chance I see the ARC listed on ebay/elsewhere, well…you probably won’t get another ARC from me. Please do respect my wishes here.
Also, if you were selected because you offered to review it/post it to your blog/website, please remember-you were selected for that specific reason…so we’re kind of making a deal here… I don’t expect a glowing positive review, just an honest one…just want you to keep your end of the deal.
The winners of the ARCs…
- Michele Lee-because she’ll get it reviewed/posted as promised, and if not, I can hunt her down… she’s local… just kidding, just kidding.
- Amy from A Simple Love of Reading, because not only did she blog about it the day of the contest, she’s been tweeting about it fairly regularly and spreading the word about the book.
- Nicola @ Love Books in Australia. Hey, how can I resist a bookseller promising to put the book on the front page of her site???? (You’ll do that, right???)
- Amy/aka @StuffdBookshelf and be warnd, I expect much twitter love and lots of exposure via your blog…
And FYI… Incident/Kayleigh could possibly persuade me to give her ARC still if she was serious about making me some sort of button/thingy whatever…if she wants to email me… *G*
Winners need to email me @ shilohwalker(at)gmail.com and please put VOS ARC in the subject line…you have until Friday to contact me. Needless to say, if I don’t hear from anybody, as per my new guidelines, specified here, I won’t redraw winners-I don’t have time, not if I’m going to get the use I need out of these.
Oh my! Thank you so much! *SQUEE* Email sent! 🙂
Congratulations, ladies!
Congrats & enjoy ladies. Shiloh, again, thanks for running this. It was fun to read all the creative reasons people had for wantng to win.
