some kind of knotted rope maybe?
A Weathervane?
My vote is for a weathervane.
My guess is the same as Kate’s. It looks like a weathervane to me.
My guesses: weather vane, base of a lightening rod or a decorative finial of some sort.
Whatever it is, it’s lovely scrollwork.
Looks like wrought iron trim on something.
I’m going to have to go with weathervane as well. It’s the first thing that popped in my mind when I saw it!
I say it is a decorative finial (so) on top of a gazebo or arch. Maybe something from your trip to Biltmore last month?!
Part of your new romance novel trading card?
Part of a new cover? Maybe for the romantic suspense series your working on…?
Your new name design?
The top part of your crown? 🙂
It looks like a decorative iron post top to some gate.
Part of an iron gate? The finial perhaps? It’s pretty that’s for sure! Is it on an upcoming cover?
I too think it’s part of a weather vane.
It looks like wrought iron perhaps part of a wall or gate.
My guess is a wroght iron bed post.
There seems to be too much scrolly stuff for a weathervane. Is it part of a fence in a cemetary?
hm. It first reminded me of part of a gate.
I was thinking part of a wrought iron gate or fence, as well.
