Seen anything good lately?
The guy and I saw Monuments Men which I loved.
There’s this one bit.
“I stepped on a landmine.”
“Why’d you do something like that?”
“It was a slow day.”
The movie was amazing…talked about how art is such a huge part of our culture and why it really does need to be protected, and valued.
“You can wipe out an entire generation, you can burn their homes to the ground and somehow they’ll still find their way back. But if you destroy their history, you destroy their achievements and it’s as if they never existed. That’s what Hitler wants and that’s exactly what we are fighting for.”

Then bratlet turned 15. She wanted to see Vampire Academy but it was already out of theaters so I guess I owe her the Bluray. We saw this instead.
It wasn’t bad. I can’t remember much from the original, although I’m sure I saw it. So I didn’t have much to compare it to. The storyline was decent, although there were certain things that didn’t ‘hold’ as well. Still, I did like it. Not a bad way to waste a day. 🙂 Bratlet liked it, too.

Then the guy rented this.
Tom Hanks can make just about any movie amazing. This is no different, but the guy who played Muse was just as inspiring. He made you almost understand, almost even empathize, although I’m under no illusions that the story was romanticized.

Now. If only this would come out…
