Among the preternatural races, the wars came to be known as the Slaughters. Over a period of twenty years, mankind waged war on those they deemed ‘lesser’, people with extraordinary abilities–those they felt were monsters. If you stood with those ‘monsters’, you were also the enemy.  Millions lost, men, women and children, to a blind lust for power and endless sea of hate and bigotry.
